Technical Details
Bubbles are laid out using a D3.js force simulation — a physics engine that applies repulsion forces between bubbles to prevent overlap while keeping similar-sized stocks near each other.
Bubble size is proportional to square root of market cap — this scaling ensures large-caps are visibly bigger without completely dwarfing every small-cap on screen.
Colour encodes daily % change: red shades for negative, green shades for positive, with intensity proportional to magnitude. Stocks near 0% appear in a neutral dark slate.
Data is sourced from NSE via StockViz's daily pipeline, updated after market close. On mobile, the chart renders with an optimised layout prioritising larger-cap stocks for performance.
